Entry 1: I’m Rex

Hello explorers. Or I should say, fellow moonwalkers. I’m Rex. Todays Lunar date 2024-278.5

Well, here you are. You’ve found something special all right. I’m Rex Starwalker, and this? Well this is where my journey begins—and yours too, if you’re brave enough to stick around.

Now the Moon and I, we go way back. Ever since I was a kid, flying around on a freighter with my folks, I had my sights set on the Moon. Something about it always called to me—the powdery white surface, the endless horizon, yep and that beautiful view of Earth. You could just feel the silence, the stillness, the history buried beneath all that dust. Yeah, that’s where I always wanted to be.

When we weren’t flying between Mars, Earth, and other space stations, we’d land back on Earth, at White Sands New Mexico. My parents were always moving cargo or off on some errand, but whenever we camped there, it just felt like home. White Sands, the Moon—they were practically the same place in my mind. Both untouched, both waiting for someone to leave a footprint. So, naturally, when I got older, I didn’t want to just visit the Moon. I wanted to live here, to make my own story across its craters and valleys.

Now, I’ve set up camp here, and let me tell you, it’s been one wild ride. There’s more to the Moon than most people realize. Treasures, relics, and yes—those elusive Moon Credits. Finding them is like finding gold, but way rarer and way more valuable. They’re scattered across the surface, tucked away in crevices, buried beneath centuries of dust. Some people think I’m crazy, wandering the lunar plains with my gear, but I know what’s out here. I’ve been collecting Moon Credits for as long as I can remember. And now? Well, let just say I’ve got a stash bigger than any scavenger could dream of.

But what’s the point of hoarding all that wealth if you don’t put it to good use? That’s the thing about Moon Credits. They’re not just tokens; they’re part of the adventure. Each one tells a story of where I’ve been, what I’ve bought, and what I’ve built. I’ve used them to upgrade my gear, to buy new rovers, even to trade with other moonwalkers passing through. In fact I had to drop 350,000 MOON Credits on a computer terminal and mic setup just so I can bring these radical adventures straight to you. Did I get the latest and greatest tech you might ask? OF COURSE NOT – I went for the choice retro gear – a terminal I’ve had my eye on for years! And just like that - poof, 350,000 credits gone, burnt from circulation forever. But enough about that. Let’s talk about the journey ahead. Every day here is an adventure waiting to unfold. There’s always something new on the horizon—whether it’s an ancient lunar relic waiting to be uncovered or a piece of gear I need to keep myself alive in the harsh vacuum of space. The Moon is as unforgiving as it is beautiful, and it keeps me on my toes.
